Forgot the admin password
Try the Wi-Fi password first. If that fails, Xiaomi’s answer is a factory reset. On the BE3600 it goes like this, and other models are similar:
- With the router switched on, press the reset button on the back for about 5 seconds. A pin helps if it is recessed.
- The indicator turns orange while it resets.
- When it turns blue again, the reset is done. Connect to the router’s default Wi-Fi and open router.miwifi.com to set it up.
The reset clears everything: Wi-Fi name, passwords, port forwarding and parental controls. If your provider gave you a PPPoE login, have it ready. How to find your router password has the options to try before you press anything.

For the less obvious causes, see why the router page will not load when the internet works fine.
