These are factory default credentials, not the password printed on the sticker under your router. If yours has been changed and you cannot recall it, a 30-second reset button hold returns the device to the defaults above. Know a Wavlink model we are missing? Add it.

About Wavlink

Wavlink makes budget routers, Wi-Fi range extenders and adapters, sold mostly online.

Reaching the login page

The admin page on most Wavlink units answers at http://192.168.10.1. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.

The steps, and what to try when the page will not load, are in our 192.168.10.1 login guide. Wavlink routers and repeaters log in with the password admin, and admin or a blank username where one is asked. A repeater that has joined your router stops answering on 192.168.10.1: Wavlink says to use http://ap.setup instead.

If the Wavlink password has already been changed

Hold the reset button for about 8 seconds with the router powered on (Wavlink support, which gives 8 to 15 seconds across its products).

A reset clears more than the password. The Wi-Fi name and key go back to what is printed on the label, port forwards and firewall rules are discarded, and any static addressing is lost. Photograph the settings pages first — it takes two minutes and saves an evening.
