Three Default Router Passwords

This page lists 5 confirmed default credentials for Three equipment, covering 5 models. On most of this equipment both the username and the password are printed on that unit’s own label.

Entries are reachable over http. All of these entries use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

On most Three equipment the admin password is printed on the device itself, on its label or settings card. If it has been changed and you cannot recall it, a reset returns it to the printed one. Know a Three model we are missing? Add it.

About Three

Three supplies 4G and 5G home broadband hubs from ZTE, Zyxel and Green Packet.

Reaching the login page

The admin page on most Three units answers at http://192.168.8.1. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.

Three prints each hub’s web login on the hub itself: the username and password on the base of the ZTE hubs, and only a password on the back of the Zyxel NR5103E. Three gives 192.168.8.1, 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 as the address, so try them in that order.

What the Three defaults look like

On 4 of the 5 entries the username is printed on that unit’s own label. One entry asks for no username at all. On 5 entries the password is unique to each unit and printed on its label.

All of them are reached over a protocol that puts the password on the wire in clear text, so work from a machine on the same wired network rather than across the internet, and change the password once you are in.

Where Three prints the admin password

WebUI username and WebUI password is printed on the base of the ZTE 5G and 4G hubs. It is not the Wi-Fi password, even when both are on the same label.Drawn from Three’s own description. The real label looks different and carries other details.

Which address does my Three hub use?

Three does not name one address per model. Type 192.168.8.1 first, then 192.168.1.1, then 192.168.0.1, on a device connected to the hub. The outdoor Green Packet hub uses 192.168.0.1. The Three app reaches the same settings without an address.

If the Three password has already been changed

There is a recessed reset button on the back or underneath that needs a straightened paperclip. Hold it in for thirty seconds with the unit powered on. Let go when the lights change pattern, and give it a couple of minutes to come back up.

The catch with an ISP-supplied unit is that a reset also clears the broadband credentials, and on some lines the router will not reconnect until those are re-entered. Find them before you press anything, or be ready to ring the provider.
