Vodafone Default Router Passwords

This page lists 3 confirmed default credentials for Vodafone equipment, covering 3 models. The pairing you are most likely to need is root with the password printed on that unit’s own label.

Entries are reachable over http. 2 of these entries use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

On most Vodafone equipment the admin password is printed on the device itself, on its label or settings card. If it has been changed and you cannot recall it, a reset returns it to the printed one. Know a Vodafone model we are missing? Add it.

About Vodafone

Vodafone supplies broadband routers under its own brand, in the UK as the Power Hub, Ultra Hub and 5G Hub.

Reaching the login page

The admin page on most Vodafone units answers at http://192.168.1.1. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.

On Vodafone UK hubs the default admin password is printed on the bottom of the router, and the first login asks you to change it. The 5G Hub answers on 192.168.0.1 with the WebUI name and password from its base.

What the Vodafone defaults look like

Usernames vary; root is the one that appears most, on a single entry. One entry asks for no username at all. On 2 entries the password is unique to each unit and printed on its label.

2 of them are reached over a protocol that puts the password on the wire in clear text, so work from a machine on the same wired network rather than across the internet, and change the password once you are in.

Where Vodafone prints the admin password

Admin password is printed on the bottom of the router. It is not the Wi-Fi password, even when both are on the same label.Drawn from Vodafone’s own description. The real label looks different and carries other details.

If the Vodafone password has already been changed

A factory reset restores the default password on the bottom of the router, and also wipes the Wi-Fi settings.

The catch with an ISP-supplied unit is that a reset also clears the broadband credentials, and on some lines the router will not reconnect until those are re-entered. Find them before you press anything, or be ready to ring the provider.
