TalkTalk Default Router Passwords

This page lists 1 confirmed default credential for TalkTalk equipment. On most of this equipment both the username and the password are printed on that unit’s own label.

Entries are reachable over http. All of these entry use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

On most TalkTalk equipment the admin password is printed on the device itself, on its label or settings card. If it has been changed and you cannot recall it, a reset returns it to the printed one. Know a TalkTalk model we are missing? Add it.

About TalkTalk

TalkTalk has supplied routers from Sagemcom, Huawei and D-Link with its broadband.

Reaching the login page

The admin page on most TalkTalk units answers at http://192.168.1.1. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.

Depending on the router, the settings page is at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254. The login is on the sticker on the back or underneath.

Where TalkTalk prints the admin password

Username and Admin password is printed on the sticker on the back or underneath the router. It is not the Wi-Fi password, even when both are on the same label.Drawn from TalkTalk’s own description. The real label looks different and carries other details.

If the TalkTalk password has already been changed

With the router switched on, hold a pin in the reset hole on the back or side for 30 seconds, until the lights go out and come back. Everything returns to factory settings.

The catch with an ISP-supplied unit is that a reset also clears the broadband credentials, and on some lines the router will not reconnect until those are re-entered. Find them before you press anything, or be ready to ring the provider.
