Spectrum Default Modem Passwords
This page lists 13 confirmed default credentials for Spectrum equipment, covering 13 models. The pairing you are most likely to need is admin with password.
Entries are reachable over http. All of these entries use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

Reaching the login page
The admin page on most Spectrum units answers at http://192.168.0.1. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.
Spectrum WiFi equipment supplied from 2013 on is managed through your Spectrum account: sign in, choose Services, then Internet. The fixed logins below are for the older cable modems Spectrum lists, reached at http://192.168.0.1 over an Ethernet cable.
What the Spectrum defaults look like
admin is the username on 10 of the 13 entries. One entry asks for no username at all. Where one is set, password comes up most often, on 7 entries.
All of them are reached over a protocol that puts the password on the wire in clear text, so work from a machine on the same wired network rather than across the internet, and change the password once you are in.
Newer Spectrum WiFi routers
For Spectrum equipment from 2013 or later, Spectrum says to sign in to your Spectrum account, select Services, then Internet, and edit the Wi-Fi name and password there. The Wi-Fi details are also on the sticker on the bottom or side of the router.
Spectrum firmware and known issues
A Spectrum employee moderator said in June 2024 that router firmware is deployed automatically once Spectrum's network engineers approve it. Spectrum publishes no version numbers or release notes. Spectrum Community, staff reply

If the Spectrum password has already been changed
There is a recessed reset button on the back or underneath that needs a straightened paperclip. Hold it in for thirty seconds with the unit powered on. Let go when the lights change pattern, and give it a couple of minutes to come back up.
A reset clears more than the password. The Wi-Fi name and key go back to what is printed on the label, port forwards and firewall rules are discarded, and any static addressing is lost. Photograph the settings pages first — it takes two minutes and saves an evening.
