Zzoomm Default Router Passwords

This page lists 2 confirmed default credentials for Zzoomm equipment, covering 2 models. The pairing you are most likely to need is admin with the password printed on that unit’s own label.

Entries are reachable over http. All of these entries use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

On most Zzoomm equipment the admin password is printed on the device itself, on its label or settings card. If it has been changed and you cannot recall it, a reset returns it to the printed one. Know a Zzoomm model we are missing? Add it.

About Zzoomm

Zzoomm is a UK full-fibre provider supplying its own Wi-Fi Hub and the Heights 6766 Wi-Fi 7 router.

Reaching the login page

The admin page on most Zzoomm units answers at http://192.168.7.1. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.

The Zzoomm Wi-Fi Hub uses 192.168.7.1 with the username admin and the password on the back. The Heights 6766 uses 192.168.40.1, and its password is the last 6 characters of the serial number on its sticker.

What the Zzoomm defaults look like

Usernames vary; admin is the one that appears most, on a single entry. One entry asks for no username at all. On 2 entries the password is unique to each unit and printed on its label.

All of them are reached over a protocol that puts the password on the wire in clear text, so work from a machine on the same wired network rather than across the internet, and change the password once you are in.

Where Zzoomm prints the admin password

Serial number is printed on the Heights 6766 sticker, as the last 6 characters of the serial number. It is not the Wi-Fi password, even when both are on the same label.Drawn from Zzoomm’s own description. The real label looks different and carries other details.

If the Zzoomm password has already been changed

Heights 6766: hold the pinhole button below the power button for 15 seconds, until all the lights go off, then allow up to 5 minutes to restart.

A reset clears more than the password. The Wi-Fi name and key go back to what is printed on the label, port forwards and firewall rules are discarded, and any static addressing is lost. Photograph the settings pages first — it takes two minutes and saves an evening.
