About Truespeed

Truespeed is a full-fibre provider in the south west of England, supplying the Truespeed Hub 7 and Linksys routers.

Reaching the login page

Point a browser at whatever your computer reports as its default gateway. On Windows that is the Default Gateway line from ipconfig; on macOS, Network settings shows it under the active connection. Current Truespeed routers have no printed admin password. Go to http://myrouter.local or use the Linksys app, and set the password the first time. The password on the sticker underneath joins the Wi-Fi.

If the Truespeed password has already been changed

Hold the reset button for 10 to 15 seconds, until the light goes out and comes back.

A reset clears more than the password. The Wi-Fi name and key go back to what is printed on the label, port forwards and firewall rules are discarded, and any static addressing is lost. Photograph the settings pages first — it takes two minutes and saves an evening.
