Vodacom Default Modem Passwords

This page lists 1 confirmed default credential for Vodacom equipment. On most of this equipment both the username and the password are printed on that unit’s own label.

Entries are reachable over http. All of these entry use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

On most Vodacom equipment the admin password is printed on the device itself, on its label or settings card. If it has been changed and you cannot recall it, a reset returns it to the printed one. Know a Vodacom model we are missing? Add it.

About Vodacom

Vodacom supplies Nokia fibre routers and LTE and 5G routers in South Africa.

Reaching the login page

The admin page on most Vodacom units answers at http://192.168.1.254. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.

The Nokia G-240W-C opens at https://192.168.1.254, with its username and password printed on the sticker on the bottom. Your browser may warn about the certificate.

If the Vodacom password has already been changed

Nokia G-240W-C: hold the reset button for 10 seconds.

The catch with an ISP-supplied unit is that a reset also clears the broadband credentials, and on some lines the router will not reconnect until those are re-entered. Find them before you press anything, or be ready to ring the provider.
