Airband Default Router Passwords
This page lists 3 confirmed default credentials for Airband equipment, covering 3 models. The pairing you are most likely to need is admin with the password printed on that unit’s own label.
Entries are reachable over http. All of these entries use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.
admin| Model | Protocol | Access | Username | Password |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LINKSYS ROUTER | HTTP | Admin | leave blank | unique to your unit |
| NOKIA WIFI BEACON G6 | HTTP | Admin | admin | unique to your unit |
| TP-LINK ROUTER (FIBRE SWITCH) | HTTP | Admin | leave blank | you create this on first boot |
About Airband
Airband is a rural UK full-fibre provider supplying Nokia, Linksys and TP-Link routers.
Reaching the login page
The admin page on most Airband units answers at http://192.168.18.1. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.
The Nokia WiFi Beacon G6 uses 192.168.18.1 with admin and the password on its base. Airband Linksys routers use 192.168.1.1 with the router password on the base. TP-Link routers have you create a login at tplinkwifi.net.
What the Airband defaults look like
Usernames vary; admin is the one that appears most, on a single entry. 2 of them ask for no username at all. On 2 entries the password is unique to each unit and printed on its label.
All of them are reached over a protocol that puts the password on the wire in clear text, so work from a machine on the same wired network rather than across the internet, and change the password once you are in.

If the Airband password has already been changed
There is a recessed reset button on the back or underneath that needs a straightened paperclip. Hold it in for thirty seconds with the unit powered on. Let go when the lights change pattern, and give it a couple of minutes to come back up.
A reset clears more than the password. The Wi-Fi name and key go back to what is printed on the label, port forwards and firewall rules are discarded, and any static addressing is lost. Photograph the settings pages first — it takes two minutes and saves an evening.
