Community Fibre Default Router Passwords

This page lists 3 confirmed default credentials for Community Fibre equipment, covering 3 models. On most of this equipment both the username and the password are printed on that unit’s own label.

Entries are reachable over http. All of these entries use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

On most Community Fibre equipment the admin password is printed on the device itself, on its label or settings card. If it has been changed and you cannot recall it, a reset returns it to the printed one. Know a Community Fibre model we are missing? Add it.

About Community Fibre

Community Fibre is a London full-fibre provider supplying Linksys and Technicolor routers. The Community Fibre records here run across the Linksys line.

Reaching the login page

The admin page on most Community Fibre units answers at http://192.168.1.1, or at myrouter.info if the router is handling your DNS. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.

Linksys routers ask only for a router password, printed underneath. The Wi-Fi 7 model answers on myrouter.info instead of the IP address.

What the Community Fibre defaults look like

On 1 of the 3 entries the username is printed on that unit’s own label. 2 of them ask for no username at all. On 3 entries the password is unique to each unit and printed on its label.

All of them are reached over a protocol that puts the password on the wire in clear text, so work from a machine on the same wired network rather than across the internet, and change the password once you are in.

Where Community Fibre prints the admin password

Router password is printed on the sticker underneath the router.Drawn from Community Fibre’s own description. The real label looks different and carries other details.

Using the recovery key

If the Linksys password is refused, choose Forgot Password and use the recovery key printed on the base of the router to create a new one. New passwords need 10 or more characters with upper and lower case letters, a number and a special character, and no repeated characters.

If the Community Fibre password has already been changed

Hold the reset button underneath the router for up to 12 seconds, until the light pulses red, turns bright red and goes off. All settings, Wi-Fi included, are wiped.

A reset clears more than the password. The Wi-Fi name and key go back to what is printed on the label, port forwards and firewall rules are discarded, and any static addressing is lost. Photograph the settings pages first — it takes two minutes and saves an evening.
