TIME Internet Default Router Passwords

This page lists 2 confirmed default credentials for TIME Internet equipment, covering 2 models. The pairing you are most likely to need is admin with the password printed on that unit’s own label.

Entries are reachable over http. All of these entries use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

On most TIME Internet equipment the admin password is printed on the device itself, on its label or settings card. If it has been changed and you cannot recall it, a reset returns it to the printed one. Know a TIME Internet model we are missing? Add it.

About TIME Internet

TIME is a Malaysian fibre provider that has supplied TP-Link, D-Link and Huawei routers.

Reaching the login page

The admin page on most TIME Internet units answers at http://192.168.0.1. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.

The TP-Link C1200 uses admin and a password made of TIME followed by the last four characters of its MAC address. The D-Link DIR-850L has no password by default.

What the TIME Internet defaults look like

Usernames vary; admin is the one that appears most, on a single entry. One entry asks for no username at all. One model shipped with no password at all.

All of them are reached over a protocol that puts the password on the wire in clear text, so work from a machine on the same wired network rather than across the internet, and change the password once you are in.

If the TIME Internet password has already been changed

There is a recessed reset button on the back or underneath that needs a straightened paperclip. Hold it in for thirty seconds with the unit powered on. Let go when the lights change pattern, and give it a couple of minutes to come back up.

The catch with an ISP-supplied unit is that a reset also clears the broadband credentials, and on some lines the router will not reconnect until those are re-entered. Find them before you press anything, or be ready to ring the provider.
