About CenturyLink
CenturyLink, now selling fibre as Quantum Fiber, supplies the C-series modems listed here.
Reaching the login page
The admin page on most CenturyLink units answers at http://192.168.0.1. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.
Both the admin username and the admin password are printed on the sticker on the side of the modem, separate from the Wi-Fi password.
Where CenturyLink prints the admin password
The browser warns about the connection
The settings page is served over plain http, so browsers flag it. Quantum Fiber says this is safe because the page is on your own network.

If the CenturyLink password has already been changed
Press the red reset button on the back for 10 seconds and let go when the power light turns orange or yellow, then allow 3 to 5 minutes. Holding it for 15 seconds only reboots the modem.
The catch with an ISP-supplied unit is that a reset also clears the broadband credentials, and on some lines the router will not reconnect until those are re-entered. Find them before you press anything, or be ready to ring the provider.
