Sangoma Default Phone Passwords

This page lists 8 confirmed default credentials for Sangoma equipment, covering 8 models. The pairing you are most likely to need is admin with admin.

Entries are reachable over http, https and console. 5 of these entries use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

About Sangoma

The Sangoma records here run across the FreePBX and Session lines. The entries are logged as IP phones and telephony hardware and modems and ONTs. They cover more than one level of access — admin and root.

Reaching the login page

Point a browser at whatever your computer reports as its default gateway. On Windows that is the Default Gateway line from ipconfig; on macOS, Network settings shows it under the active connection.

What the Sangoma defaults look like

admin is the username on 4 of the 8 entries. Where one is set, admin comes up most often, on 2 entries. There are 7 different passwords across the Sangoma set, so check your exact model rather than assuming.

5 of them are reached over a protocol that puts the password on the wire in clear text, so work from a machine on the same wired network rather than across the internet, and change the password once you are in.

If the Sangoma password has already been changed

Handsets and ATAs are usually reset from the keypad rather than a button, through a service menu reached with a code dialled from the phone itself. Where the device is supplied by a VoIP provider, that menu is often locked and the provider has to reset it from their side.

A reset drops the SIP registration along with everything else, so have the server address, the SIP username and the registration password before you start, or the phone will come back up unable to call.
