Sagem Default Router Passwords

This page lists 5 confirmed default credentials for Sagem equipment, covering 5 models. The pairing you are most likely to need is admin with 1234.

Entries are reachable over telnet and multi. 2 of these entries use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

These are the logins Sagem itself publishes. If the password has been changed and you cannot recall it, a reset returns the device to the default above. Know a Sagem model we are missing? Add it.

About Sagem

Sagem, later Sagemcom, supplies set-top boxes and broadband gateways to European ISPs. The Sagem records here run across the FAST- line.

Reaching the login page

The admin page on most Sagem units answers at http://192.168.1.1. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.

What the Sagem defaults look like

admin is the username on 3 of the 5 entries. One model shipped with no password at all. Where one is set, 1234 comes up most often, on 2 entries.

2 of them are reached over a protocol that puts the password on the wire in clear text, so work from a machine on the same wired network rather than across the internet, and change the password once you are in.

If the Sagem password has already been changed

There is a recessed reset button on the back or underneath that needs a straightened paperclip. Hold it in for thirty seconds with the unit powered on. Let go when the lights change pattern, and give it a couple of minutes to come back up.

The catch with an ISP-supplied unit is that a reset also clears the broadband credentials, and on some lines the router will not reconnect until those are re-entered. Find them before you press anything, or be ready to ring the provider.
