MyRepublic Default Router Passwords

This page lists 3 confirmed default credentials for MyRepublic equipment, covering 3 models. The pairing you are most likely to need is admin with admin.

Entries are reachable over http. All of these entries use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

These are the logins MyRepublic itself publishes. If the password has been changed and you cannot recall it, a reset returns the device to the default above. Know a MyRepublic model we are missing? Add it.

About MyRepublic

MyRepublic supplies Huawei mesh, ASUS and its own Wi-Fi Halo routers in Singapore.

Reaching the login page

The admin page on most MyRepublic units answers at http://192.168.1.1. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.

The ASUS routers and the older Wi-Fi Halo use admin and admin. The Huawei FG736 mesh answers on 192.168.101.1 and prints its own username and password on the nameplate on the back.

What the MyRepublic defaults look like

admin is the username on 2 of the 3 entries. Where one is set, admin comes up most often, on 2 entries. All of them are reached over a protocol that puts the password on the wire in clear text, so work from a machine on the same wired network rather than across the internet, and change the password once you are in.

If the MyRepublic password has already been changed

ASUS: hold Reset for 10 to 15 seconds while the router is on, until the power light flashes. Wi-Fi Halo: hold Reset with a pin for 10 to 20 seconds.

The catch with an ISP-supplied unit is that a reset also clears the broadband credentials, and on some lines the router will not reconnect until those are re-entered. Find them before you press anything, or be ready to ring the provider.
