About Yealink

The Yealink records here run across the SIP-T- line. The entries are logged as IP phones and telephony hardware and access control and intercom systems. They cover more than one level of access — admin, user and reseller.

Reaching the login page

Point a browser at whatever your computer reports as its default gateway. On Windows that is the Default Gateway line from ipconfig; on macOS, Network settings shows it under the active connection.

What the Yealink defaults look like

admin is the username on 2 of the 5 entries. One entry asks for no username at all. Where one is set, admin comes up most often, on 2 entries.

If the Yealink password has already been changed

Handsets and ATAs are usually reset from the keypad rather than a button, through a service menu reached with a code dialled from the phone itself. Where the device is supplied by a VoIP provider, that menu is often locked and the provider has to reset it from their side.

A reset drops the SIP registration along with everything else, so have the server address, the SIP username and the registration password before you start, or the phone will come back up unable to call.
