Grandstream Default Phone Passwords

This page lists 16 confirmed default credentials for Grandstream equipment, covering 16 models. The pairing you are most likely to need is admin with the password printed on that unit’s own label.

Entries are reachable over http and https. 12 of these entries use a protocol that sends the password in clear text, so use them on a trusted network and change the password once you are in.

On most Grandstream equipment the admin password is printed on the device itself, on its label or settings card. If it has been changed and you cannot recall it, a reset returns it to the printed one. Know a Grandstream model we are missing? Add it.

About Grandstream

Grandstream builds IP phones, ATAs and video intercoms. The Grandstream records here run across the HT-, GRP-, GXP-, GXW- and UCM- lines.

Reaching the login page

The admin page on most Grandstream units answers at http://192.168.0.160. If that address does not load, the router is whatever your computer lists as its default gateway — ipconfig on Windows or ipconfig getoption en0 router on a Mac will tell you.

What the Grandstream defaults look like

admin is the username on 14 of the 16 entries. On 8 entries the password is unique to each unit and printed on its label. 12 of them are reached over a protocol that puts the password on the wire in clear text, so work from a machine on the same wired network rather than across the internet, and change the password once you are in.

If the Grandstream password has already been changed

Handsets and ATAs are usually reset from the keypad rather than a button, through a service menu reached with a code dialled from the phone itself. Where the device is supplied by a VoIP provider, that menu is often locked and the provider has to reset it from their side.

A reset drops the SIP registration along with everything else, so have the server address, the SIP username and the registration password before you start, or the phone will come back up unable to call.
