About Annke

The entries are logged as digital video recorders. 2 distinct Annke models are covered.

Reaching the login page

Point a browser at whatever your computer reports as its default gateway. On Windows that is the Default Gateway line from ipconfig; on macOS, Network settings shows it under the active connection.

What the Annke defaults look like

Every entry uses the username admin. One model shipped with no password at all.

If the Annke password has already been changed

Cameras and recorders rarely have an accessible reset button. On a camera it is usually a small switch on the pigtail or under the dome that has to be held while power is applied. On a recorder the reset is normally a jumper or a button on the mainboard, which means opening the case. Several manufacturers will also generate a one-time unlock code from the device serial number and the current date if you contact their support with proof of ownership.

A reset on a recorder wipes the camera list, the recording schedule and the network settings, though it leaves the footage on the disks alone. Write down the IP addresses of the cameras first, because re-adding them one at a time is the slow part.
